Mistletoe, maretak of vogellijm

Last week been in the Priona tuinen in Schuinesloot. May be scanning the old slide archive to protect the images made by Henk and Anton for the Priona Tuinen foundation.

A fabulous plant was showing its winterbeauty there, Mistletoe:

 

 

bulbflowers again

Today in Zuid-Holland, Between Noordwijk and Lisse, one of the oldest places nin the Nethrelands for growing flowerbulbs or bulbflowers. A lot of tourists are coming to special this region and on a sunday you can find them :-)

Its spring, the last crocusses and the first tulips and all the daffodils are flowering now. Thousands of acres in the north of North-Holland are coloring this weeks.

Stinzenflowers flowering again

In my garden and on the estates in 's-Graveland, Netherlands the special bulbflowers are flowering again :-) Grape hyacinth, Hellebore, anemone blanda, chionodoxa, petasites, scilla, daffodil....

Spring images

Wanted to do some estates in the east of Holland, but was hold up in a guided tour in the oil-windmill in Zwolle, "de Passiebloem" One mill for the collection and some flowers of estate Dickninge near De Wijk.

Stinzenflora in Fryslân

The book about Stinzenflora is published! 5th of november 2008.

Eindelijk is het boek "Stinzenflora in Fryslân" dan verschenen. 3 jaar van voorbereiding en fotografie, meer dan 70 foto's van mijn hand staan er in, voornamelijk de plantportretten.

Sunset and flowers

Wednesday a beautiful sunset in De Wieden, a lake and swamp area, famous for its nature and Natura 2000 protected. Iris foetidissima in my garden is after years in flower for the very first time. Grown from seed... and sometimes I'm experimenting imaging flowers and seeds...

Enkhuizen, Urban nature

Enkhuizen, old VOC town and most important harbour in the 17th century http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enkhuizen Yesterday imaging some urban nature. Important for nature because this little places act as stepping stones.
