Stinzenflowers flowering again

In my garden and on the estates in 's-Graveland, Netherlands the special bulbflowers are flowering again :-) Grape hyacinth, Hellebore, anemone blanda, chionodoxa, petasites, scilla, daffodil....

Wanted to do some estates in the east of Holland, but was hold up in a guided tour in the oil-windmill in Zwolle, "de Passiebloem" One mill for the collection and some flowers of estate Dickninge near De Wijk.

Stinzenflora in Fryslân

The book about Stinzenflora is published! 5th of november 2008.

Eindelijk is het boek "Stinzenflora in Fryslân" dan verschenen. 3 jaar van voorbereiding en fotografie, meer dan 70 foto's van mijn hand staan er in, voornamelijk de plantportretten.

One of the last days I made images for the stinzen book. Wild tulips, special wood anemones, Leeuwarden, Dekemastate, Franeker, Wijckel...

Friesland stinzengardens again

Today very good weather for working for the Stinzengarden book. Several new estates (Stinzen) en new fowers on different spots. Blue anemone: Anemone appenina, blue wood anemone:  Anemone nemerosa cv robinsoniana (?) and more.

Vandaag weer een rondje Friesland gedaan om nog resterend beeld voor stinzenboek te maken. Blauwe anemoon, blauwe bosanemoon, een stengelloze primula op Epemastate, kivietsbloem, holwortel...

Today cold but beautiful weather. For the book been to Friesland to visit the stinzen estate Dekema State.

Stinzen en Limburg

Friday beautiful weather after a lot of dull day's. Been to Wolvega in Friesland for the book about stinzengardens. The gate was open and worked a lot and when I wanted to leave the gate was closed.... but there was a way out. Bird-in-a-bush, Corydalis solida, daffodil and lungworth, Pulmonaria officinalis and more.

Saturday looked around in a rather new protected area near the town Heerlen in the south. Old buildings, old trees and an active toad.

Vrijdag eindelijk weer eens mooi weer en naar Wolvega geweest voor een shoot voor het Stinzenplantenboek. Zaterdag bij Heerlen wezen kijken naar een stuk natuur bij de stad wat nog niet zo heel lang geleden ingericht is (Terworm) Oude gebouwen, inscripties en bomen en een actieve pad.
