Remainings of an explosive new year.

Birch Bracket (Piptoporus betulinus - also known as Razor Strop) I found on Gooilust in 's-Graveland
A storm is coming. 's-Graveland houses in the middle, the backside of the Noordereinde in 's-Graveland, Kortenhoef on the left. This is about 500 meter from our home.

Dull weather today so I show some windmills from an assignment shoot earlier this month. These will probably published in Februari 2008. You never know which images the art-director will choose.

The Christmas rose or Black hellebore is flowering. Fascinating flower! I've several species in my garden which will appear in this blog.
All kids back at home and of course a christmas walk :-)
Today a n active snail.. about 4 degrees C above zero. Some peolple think that snails are only active in warmth, but there is a species in Holland which activates at temperatures around zero. I think this is not such one, but you don't see it very often.
No images today, gray and rainy and cold. Therefore an archive image shot at december 24, two years ago, Gannets at New Zealand, Hawkes Bay, North Island.

First real hard rime or hoar frost over here, but no time to shoot. Therefore an archive image.
